YOUR HALF-TERM HANGOUT SPOT

OCTOBER HANGOUTS: 21ST OCTOBER - 24TH OCTOBER 2025

WHAT'S HANGOUTS

A FREE, four day half-term programme for 10 - 16 year olds (Years 6–11), with work experiences opportunities available for 17+. 

It's designed to keep young people engaged in fun, growth-oriented activities during the half-term.

WHEN & WHERE?

​​February & October Half-term

(Tuesday - Friday)

9:30 am–3:00 pm

Oasis Academy Arena, South Norwood, SE25 4QL

ACTIVITIES

Performing arts: workshops in drama, music, and dance.

 

Sports: multi-sports, football, basketball, rounders, table tennis, netball.

 

Creative & enterprise: cooking, baking, design, arts & crafts, enterprise workshops and challenges.

 

Trips & outings: Joining South Norwood Community Kitchen for cooking sessions and the occasional local trips. 

Games and social spaces: Team building, card and board games and challenges.

EXTRA BENEFITS

Free hot meals provided each day.

Encouraging confidence-building, teamwork, leadership and trying new things.

WHAT'S HAPPENING AT HANGOUTS?

FAQ

What should my child bring?
Just bring a refillable water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing, and lots of energy!

Do I need to provide food?

No need for food or money! Fresh meals are prepared daily by our team at South Norwood Community Kitchen and the young people. 

Please inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements in advance.

What happens if my child is unwell?
If your child is unwell or shows symptoms of illness, we ask that they stay home for the safety of others.
Let us know as soon as possible if they won’t be attending that day.

What activities will they be doing at Summer Blitz?
There’s a mix of three different activities every day -

timetable to see what’s planned each day.

Do they have to attend every day?
No – you can choose which days you'd like your young person to attend.

I didn’t sign up – can I just turn up on the day?
Unfortunately, we do not accept walk-ins.
Please contact a member of the team at least one day in advance to check availability.

What if my child needs to leave early?
Please let us know in advance if you’ll be collecting your child early or they have permission to leave early.

Can my young person arrive late?
The cut-off time is 11:00am each day. Unless you have communicated in advance.
