The Jack Petchey Foundation 18th Birthday Celebration

Monday started off as an excellent week for Reaching Higher. Reaching Higher has been supported by The Jack Petchey Foundation (JPF) for a number of years, recognising young leaders and supporting them in their personal growth. As a result we were invited to an amazing night celebrating 18 years of the Jack Petchey Foundation. We were honoured to be invited and had a great time there. We even got to meet Jack Petchey himself, absolute Legend ! The JPF has been integral to the impact of our work in supporting young people as they become leaders of their own lives. Thank you Jack Petchey !

Football Academy

Last week, Bryan - Head of Reaching Higher Football Academy (RHFA), started the course towards his UEFA B Licence. He is being taught by some of London FA's finest tutors including Anthony Ferguson, Jamie Coyle and Darren Hare. Bryan is sure to do extremely well in this course and I am sure he will bring back all his new coaching knowledge to RHFA.

Here is a video of Bryan working on his goalkeeping at the UEFA B sessions. (He does an excellent save!!)

LIT Program

Tuesday 18th September was the LIT's second session from MyBNK, who are doing three work workshops with us on Financial Literacy. We have been learning how to spend less, save and grow our money ! Yesterday we looked at ways we can cut back in our everyday lives to help us hold onto our money. For e.g one particular young person worked out that in a year they probably spend over £600 on Bacon rolls !! LOL. It has been really useful and practical, I cannot wait for next week.                         - LIT Volunteer
